This is a sad but brilliant collection of the thoughts and emotions felt and suffered by victims of violence in all its forms, both by Physical and Mental anguish.I can but recommend that you read this volume, and maybe support the worthwhile causes and organisations that are battling HOURLY to alleviate such suffering caused to so many who have done nothing to deserve such vile treatment by those that they one time loved and trusted.
Another poem that should maybe included in this excellent collection is 'Implied Consent' by a woman I am proud to call 'friend'. I post it here for your consideration as well.

bruised and broken

Wonderful, though very raw, poetry.
It helps to bring light to domestic violence and this book helps a great cause. I urge people to buy it, read it, and be aware of abuses going unnoticed all around us and help put a stop to domestic violence.
This book is about Domestic Violence and the Poetry is very Touching and very Heartfelt and so inspiring. For all of those victims of Domestic Violence I strongly suggest that you read this Beautiful Book.

I am looking forward to reading this compilation titled Battered Shadows! I'm very familiar with the written works of Bathsheba Daily and know that her raw, gritty, honest writing will shine a gleaming light on the issue of domestic abuse! The fact that the proceeds from the sake of the books will also go to a worthy cause!
The collection of poetry and narratives in this book are based upon real life experiences. The amount of emotion that is poured into the pages by the different authors is astounding. The fact that the proceeds of this book go to the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence is a very touching. It is an amazing display of empathy and a display of humanity in giving to others who are in similar situations.
